Magpie was born and raised here at Stag Creek and is definately a keeper. From one of our favorite Ernie Hammrich mares and our big Mead stallion, she stands about 14.2h, is a fading black, has her sire's and dam’s great conformation, hard round hooves, beautiful head, and muscular build. Top that off with a quiet, sweet, willing disposition and you have a real winner! Magpie has had three foals to date - Crow, Flitty Wren, and Auldie - and each are wonderful in their own ways. Magpie began her training last year as a seven year old. She had never even been haltered, and now she is well on her way to being an exceptionally fun riding mount! Magpie is a real "Black Beauty".....inside and out!
