Stag Creek Farm began raising American Bashkir Curly Horses in 1998. A rare breed with a unique history, the American Bashkir Curly Horse has an unusual coat that is hypo-allergenic, an easy going temperament, high level of endurance and a willing spirit.
Our small herd began with foundation stock from Joe Mead - the Damele bloodline, and Ernie Hammrich -the Native American Bad Warrior bloodline. Selectively breeding between these two lines has produced top quality Curlies that are well built, beautiful, and have exceptional dispositions.
All of our horses are ABC registered, and we do not outcross with other breeds. Our farm is situated in central-rural Texas on the banks of Stag Creek......just give us a call if you would like to come out and visit the Curlies! Our horses are people friendly and sweet - sometimes mischevious - and meet us in the pastures with "Oh, there you are!" attitudes.
