Constance B is exactly what we had hoped for from MayB and Stardust....and since Stardust is now living in Minnesota, we are so glad we got her! It is hard to let good stallions go, when you know what they can produce, and this filly has taken on some of the best features of her sire - head refinement, extremely quiet disposition, and outstanding conformation. Add to that MayB's size, sooty coloring, and hard round hooves, and what do you get.....a beautiful buckskin filly - Constance B! MayB was a little reluctant to "share" her with us at first.....but persistance pays off. One early morning, as I was on my early "check the horses" rounds, I thought we had a new foal....it looked like Constance B at first, but it was on the opposite side of the hay feeder from MayB (who had not let her new foal get more that a few inches from her). As I got closer, I could see that it WAS Constance B....and she was just whinnying up a storm.....looking for her mom.....who was clearly right there - in plain sight - on the other side of the hay feeder. Just one look at MayB - to see why she wasn't calling back, and I couldn't help but laugh.....her ears were hanging aloof, her face bore the look of exhaustion, and she was methodically munching away at her hay......all as if to say...."I am soooo tired of this game, could ANYBODY please watch my foalie for me!" I gladly oblidged, and Constance B is still one of the first to meet me in the pasture each day. She will be staying here with us for quite a long while.
